Director
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Jacobs served as Senior Executive Vice President for MasterCard International where he was responsible for developing new business ventures to service a wider range of member needs. He was also responsible for all alliances, joint ventures, new investments and equity investments.
 
Mr. Jacobs previously held the position of Executive Vice President for MasterCard Global Resources where his responsibilities included administration, government affairs, audit, finance, analysis, legal, human resources and global communications. At Global Resources, he was also involved in corporate finance and M&A activities.
 
Before joining MasterCard, Mr. Jacobs co-founded Financial Security Assurance Inc. (FSA) one of the world’s largest bond insurance companies. At FSA, he served as Chief Operating Officer, managing all staff functions including finance, policy, administration, investment management and legal.
 
Mr. Jacobs has served as a director since the Business Combination. From its formation in September 2016 through the Business Combination, Mr. Jacobs served as a member of the board of directors of Hawk Parent. Mr. Jacobs has served as a director of Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN) (“Global Payments”), a payment processing services company, from 2001 to 2022, and as Chairman of Green Dot Corporation (NYSE: GDOT) (“Green Dot”), a financial services technology company, since June 2016 (and he has served as a director of Green Dot since April 2016). In addition, he currently serves as a member of Global Payments’ Governance and Nominating Committee and Compensation Committee, served as Lead Independent Director of Global Payments from 2003 to May 2014, served as Chairman of the board of directors of Global Payments from June 2014 to September 2019, and has served as one of its business advisors since August 2002, and previously served on its Audit Committee and as Chair of its Compensation Committee. He previously served on the boards of directors of Asset Acceptance Capital Corp., Investment Technology Group, Inc., Alpharma, Inc., LifeNexus and BondFactor and as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at American University in Washington, D.C.
 
Mr. Jacobs received a BS in Business Administration from American University and a Juris Doctor from American University Law School.
